Microcontroller Housing Design

Beyond One Tech

From 2D dimensioned CAD sketches to the final manufactured product.

What

Design and develop a custom housing for a microcontroller to collect meter input and transmit data to a mobile application.

How

Modeled enclosure layouts using precise CAD dimensions to accommodate component spacing. Collaborated with the software team through multiple prototype iterations and validation testing to ensure proper I/O integration and environmental durability.

Results

Delivered a market-ready, manufactured enclosure that enabled 100% reliable data flow during testing.

Baja SAE — Ergonomics & Chassis

UCF Baja SAE

Custom CAD modeling for driver ergonomics and steering systems.

What

Design and fabricate the vehicle's tube chassis, steering, and driver seats to comply with strict SAE safety certification standards and competition requirements.

How

Modeled custom ergonomic components in CAD such as the steering yoke and translated models into precise physical structures through tube cutting and assembly. Worked closely with the Ergonomics and Chassis sub-system.

Results

Successfully reduced driver seat size by 35% while fully integrating safety, comfort, and structural integrity into the final vehicle design.

Knights Experimental Rocketry (KXR)

Aerostructures

Completed experimental rocket body for IREC competition.

What

Fabricate composite rocket bodies for IREC competition rockets and document fabrication procedures to ensure quality control.

How

Translated team designs into physical structures using advanced carbon fiber layup and epoxy curing techniques. Drafted Manufacturing Process Specifications (MPS) to document the entire build process.

Results

Ensured procedural repeatability and high-quality manufacturing standards for competition-ready rockets.
